Camp Mindel
Camp Mindel is one of the best campsites on Korcula. The campsite itself is located in a beautiful olive grove, with plenty of trees for shade. It’s spacious, with lots of room for campervans or tents, and the facilities are very clean and of a high standard.
You can order provisions every evening and pick them up the next morning, which is super handy. There is a fantastic view of the sunset from their shared terrace as well. The beaches nearby are 10-20 minutes walk away, with pretty coves to swim in and relax on.
The family who runs the campground are friendly and welcoming, and will happily share details on the local area and do things like order taxis for you if you wish.

Kamp Oskorusica
Camp Oskorusica is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful Mediterranean getaway. The camp is located in the shade of various trees, including oskorušica, olives, figs, and tangerines, providing guests with plenty of opportunities to pick their own fruit.
In addition, there are enough showers, toilets, and sinks to accommodate all campers, as well as electrical connections and a large grill. Wi-fi is also available for those who need to stay connected, and there are refrigerators and a washing machine on site.
Every morning, a bakery and fruit/vegetable truck arrives at the camp, providing guests with fresh food options. The beautiful old town of Korcula is just 10 minutes away by car, and a small supermarket is just 5 minutes away.

Kamp VRBOVICA
Kamp VRBOVICA is located in a very attractive location, just a few steps from the sea and near Korcula town. It’s also one of the cheaper campsites in Korcula so it’s a great option if you’re on a budget.
That being said, in recent years there have been complaints that this campsite isn’t maintained to the best standards. When we visited in 2022 the campsite was clean and well maintained, and the guests seemed more than happy with the facilities, but it’s something to keep in mind before you book.
Port9
Port9 is a great choice for those looking to camp on the beautiful island of Korcula and is the ‘hotel’ of campsites. It is situated in the bay of Luka Korculanska, about 20 minutes walk along the bay/seashore from Korcula Old Town. This is the only campsite on the island that is within reasonable walking distance from the town.
Port9 is in the wooden part of the bay, where a large number of camp places are situated in the shade of large pine trees (the smell is wonderful!) Camping places are clearly signed and connected with a web of nice little paths around trees and bushes.
The campsite has separate buildings for toilets and showers, which are kept clean with a constant supply of hot and cold water. There is also a decent size supermarket on the grounds. In this campsite complex, you will find a climbing wall, wellness centre, and children’s playground, along with other facilities.
The campsite is on the seafront, with lifeguard-manned seawater pools.
Camping Ground Potirna
Potirna is a beautiful campsite located in a remote part of Korcula. You will want a car (or bike) to reach here and to get to the nearest beach, but the quiet is lovely if you’ve come from one of Croatia’s busier towns or cities.
This campsite is perfect for stargazing and switching off from the world! And because it’s tucked away, it tends to be less busy than some of Korculas other campsites.
Facilities here include washing up sinks, laundry and cooking facilities, shower cabins, grill, olive trees for shade, and a small football court. You should be aware that the hot water supply here is a little limited!

When to go
The campsites in Korcula are mostly open from May to September, during the warmest times of the year. Camping in May and September might be a little chillier, but you should still get sunny, warm days and it will be less busy during the shoulder months.
The best time to visit Croatia isn’t necessarily during the summer.
What to pack
Asides from all your usual camping gear, it’s a good idea to have some extras on hand when camping in Croatia as it can get pretty hot here during the summer months.
- Mozzie spray
- A mozzie net
- A fan
- A sleeping bag liner (for the summer months)
- An air mattress or something to elevate you when sleeping
- Decent walking shoes (paths are often uneven and rocky)
- Reef shoes (for pebble and rock beaches)
Can You Camp Anywhere In Croatia?
It is strictly illegal to wild camp in Croatia. You must use a registered campsite or parking lot designed for campers.
Is Camping In Croatia Expensive?
Unfortunately camping in Europe is not as cheap as it used to be, and because you are not allowed to wild camp in Europe, campsites are charging more for use of their facilities. You can expect to pay similar prices to the rest of Europe here, with campsites costing an average of 20 euros a night.
You might want to budget a little extra for tips if the service has been good. Tipping isn’t obligatory in Croatia but it’s certainly welcomed for great service.
