The Go Pro Hero 10

This is the ultimate action camera for vlogging and blogging.  We use this camera all the time, as it’s so convenient for getting the action shots we need in our sailing vlogs.  We also think it’s a pretty decent underwater camera, and have got some great shots of the boat from in the water.

You can check out our action camera review for more information.

Sony Alpha AR7 iii

This is an expensive bit of kit but well worth it.  If you’re super into photography then this is an incredible camera and Adam absolutely loves using it.

You can read more about our top camera picks for bloggers and vloggers if you want more information!

Peak Design Tripod

A tripod is an essential piece of camera gear, and this one is great if you’re serious about photography.

It’s lightweight, it packs down to a tiny size (ours lives attached to the bottom of a backpack) and it’s super stable and strong.

Rainman Watermaker

Our Rainman watermaker has been an absolute game-changer for our lives onboard.  It has meant we can be totally land-free for long periods of time, and we only wish we’d splashed out on it sooner!

We’ve written a complete Rainman watermaker review for anyone thinking of purchasing one themselves.

Helly Hansen Foul Weather Gear

We love our Helly Hansen sailing jackets and use them all the time in the shoulder season, when storms are more frequent and the weather is cooler.  We both opted for offshore sailing jackets for when we finally get going west!

Black Diamond Headtorch

Our Black Diamond headtorches are an absolute ESSENTIAL onboard.  They’re perfect for night passages but they’re also so useful for boat maintenance in dark, damp cupboard spaces!

Ceramic Knives

We were recommended these ceramic knives by some fellow cruisers after ours kept rusting in the saltwater environment.  They’re really handy and a staple in our sailboat galley!

Bread Tin

Fresh bread is such a treat on a sailboat.  You don’t want to have to go to shore every day and find a bakery, so having a bread tin in the galley is a must!  We don’t have anything fancy, but our bread is 100% improved when baked in a bread tin!

Mini blender

There’s not loads of space in a galley, so it’s hard to justify modern kitchen appliances.  But this small blender is something we use every day, whether it’s for making smoothies or soups or pasta sauces.  We LOVE it!
