Is The No Reception Club Rollaway The Best Parent Luggage 2026?
A bold question indeed. We’ve been travelling full time with our three year old and one year old, so we know the struggle when looking for bags designed with little kids in mind. A good piece of parent luggage has to fill so many different roles and solve numerous different problems. It’s virtually impossible to get everything you’re looking for.
Before I start this review I’m going to be totally honest. I’m not sure the Rollaway by No Reception Club DOES solve every single problem you’re probably facing as a parent who loves to travel. But I had to write up a full review on this bag because it will certainly solve almost all of them, and for the ones it doesn’t, a tablet and a few episodes of Bluey should do the trick!
This is one of those bags you didn’t know you needed until you have it. And then you wonder why on earth it’s never been thought of before. It’s hard to find a bag that has new and genuinely useful features, which is why we got pretty excited about this one (I know I know, excited over a bag). But read on to find out why we won’t be travelling without the Rollaway again.

Who Are No Reception Club?

We’re really lucky to have been sent quite a few luggage bags over the years and we’ve travelled with everything from Peak Design, to Osprey. But we’d never used a bag that was actually designed for parents until we had our first child.
No Reception Club sent us their cabin bag and duffel, and since then we’ve never used another brand. But more on the bags below. Who actually are No Reception Club?
Gemma and Daniel, the founders of No Reception Club, are parents who love to travel just like you or I. Only they refused to settle for the, quite frankly, pretty shocking range of travel luggage out there that simply wasn’t designed for parents. They made a small range of bags that empowered travelling parents, making their lives simpler and easier while on the road.
We love them all, but the Rollaway is worth writing about because it’s really different from any other bag on the market. It’s got some stand out features that will make travelling as parents so much easier.
The Rollaway

The newest edition, the Rollaway, is designed to solve the problem that has me in a cold sweat the night before a flight.
How do you transport all of your bags, your car seat, your pram, your travel cot, your baby’s water bottle, the kitchen sink, through the airport and onwards? It’s the sort of problem that keeps me awake at 3am. Adam and I genuinely spent hours discussing how we were going to logistically get two young kids and all of our luggage through the airport to the check-in desk.
Something that seemed so simple when we were travelling as a couple has suddenly become a full-time planning event.
No Reception Club have designed the Rollaway with this exact problem in mind. But have they managed to take the stress out of travel? And even more impossible, help me get a good night’s sleep before a flight?

Features
No Reception Club has tagged the Rollaway as ‘The SUV of carry-on rollers,’ and it’s true. This does seem to be the bag that will do all the heavy lifting for you.
The Sideways Suitcase
The Rollaway has a pretty simple but ridiculously effective difference to the usual suitcase on wheels. It’s flipped on its side. This means that when you stack bags on top, it doesn’t tip over, which for parents is inconvenient at best, and actually dangerous with curious toddlers around at worst.
I can confirm it works too. We got a bit overzealous with our testing and tried our hardest to tip this suitcase. It’s virtually impossible, so load as many things as you like on the top of this suitcase!
NRC SeatLatch™ NRC SeatLatch™

Seriously, why hasn’t this been done before? No Reception Club has created a suitcase that will also carry your car seat. It might be my favourite thing about this bag.
I always said I’d be one of those parents who travels really light, just breezing my way through the airport with my suitcase in one hand and my kid in the other. Hahaha. I pity that optimistic old me.
In reality, we take the kids’ car seats on every single trip. For one, they’re so expensive to rent. But also, I’m suspicious of any car seat I haven’t thoroughly researched and safety-approved myself. What has happened to the carefree version of me?
Still, it doesn’t matter anymore because carrying the car seats through the airport is now seamless. Just attach to the Rollaway, and roll away.
The Little Details

Or perhaps not so little detail. The Hinomoto silent run 360-degree wheels are about 10mm bigger than the average carry on wheels. This is the easiest, smoothest luggage bag I’ve ever pushed, you can even wheel it at the same as pushing the buggy. The larger wheels also help you carry a heavier stacked load.
This bag has a hybrid hard/soft shell for protection but added front pockets for quick access to essentials, two adjustable straps for securing bulky baby equipment to the bag and even an AirTag pocket so you don’t lose it.
Then there’s the thoughtful little add on, a detachable water bottle pocket with a clear screen for tablets that you can also attach to the airplane seat in front of you. It won’t solve the problem you face when your 2-year-old is yelling ‘I’M DEHYDRATED’ as you navigate security, but it’s super useful the rest of the time.
The inside has all the No Reception Club features that you’ll know and love if you’ve ever used one of their bags before.
The detachable cubby, basically a big, adaptable packing cube that doubles as a travel wardrobe.
An exterior laptop sleeve to make going through security that much quicker.
I’m starting to feel like a commercial listing all the features, but as you can see they really have thought of pretty much everything. They’ve included things I didn’t know I needed until I started using the Rollaway.
Durability
As this is a new release, I obviously haven’t had a chance to test the longevity of this bag, and I don’t want to come on here and make claims that it will stand the test of time. But I can say I’ve been using the getaway bag nearly every day for several years now, and it’s basically still brand new-looking.
It washes well, it’s rugged and well made. I’m not the most careful or clean person in the world, but somehow this bag has made me look very type A.
Considering the Rollaway is made from the same material but with the added hard shell I have high hopes. The only thing I’m keen to test a bit more is the handle, which feels lightweight and perhaps has more potential to break given that it’s retractable. I’ll be sure to report back!
Price
This isn’t a cheap bit of luggage, and it shows through the quality. I’ve come to realise something as a parent. You can’t skimp on things you’ll be getting loads of use out of. If you want a bag for one weekend away and then you’re prepared to retire it, then don’t bother with the Rollaway. This is luggage designed to last for the entirety of your kids’ childhood and will adapt with their different needs.
It’s also a really decent sized bit of carry on luggage, so depending on the length of your trip you might not need to take checked luggage, saving you a pretty decent amount of money over several trips.
So yeah, it’s expensive. But you don’t have to buy 5 of them. Buy now and use for every trip for the next 15 years. You’re effectively saving money. You can thank me later.
No Reception Club’s Packing System

I just wanted to delve a little into No Reception Club’s whole packing system for anyone who hasn’t come across them before. Because their newest addition, the Rollaway, may well become their best seller, but their packing system as a whole is so well thought out and works perfectly together that it would be a shame not to quickly run through what you can get as a set.
Firstly, the getaway bag is effectively a glorified diaper bag. Not as in poopy, but as in a bag you will use every single day because it’s so useful.
It’s quite big, so might not suit those minimalist packers among you (seriously, how?!) but for us normal parents the size is one of the selling factors. You can easily carry your nappies, wipes, diaper bags, a change of clothes, toys, books, and all the other essentials in one bag.
But the key difference between the getaway and a big backpack is the compartments. It can be reconfigured in any way you want so that your many, many things can be organised and found quickly.
Oh, and also, the waterproof, odor-resistant pocket. And the laptop compartment. And the insulated pocket for baby food and milk. And the super comfy padded straps. And the concealed pocket for valuables.
Then the Hideaway is the soft shell alternative to the Rollaway. It has all the same handy features, only it’s a backpack rather than a wheely suitcase.
The Sidekick is designed to hold nappy change essentials but I actually use it for all the important travel documents on flight days, so I can grab them quickly when needed and have them under my clothing in busy areas.
The Sliders and Dopp kit are both really lovely extras, but if you’re looking to save money you can find cheaper alternatives that will do the job. They just won’t be as nice to use. Or last as long. Hmmm, what am I saying, just get the whole set. You won’t regret it.
Our Travel Set Up

I used to love watching those packing reels on Instagram. ‘How I pack for two weeks with my toddler.’ I was just dreaming about the day I’d be organised enough not to have a suitcase crammed full of random bits and bobs that made unpacking and finding things in a hurry pretty much impossible.
Only with the No Reception Club bags I feel like I am one of those smug people. So let me have my moment and share with you our travel setup.
- The Sidekick is always around my waist on travel days for easy access to passports, phone, keys, a little toy.
- The Rollaway cabin bag is filled with things like changes of clothes, spare snacks, basically things we might need for the flight but probably won’t need in an emergency. It’s easy to wheel around the airport with other luggage attached, it fits in overhead lockers, and it’s actually quite easy to push around this and a pram so you don’t even need two people.
- The Getaway is our diaper bag. It’s usually free when travelling with a baby and filled with flight essentials. Nappies, snacks, toys contained in the sliders, headphones, Yoto player.
- Joolz Aer travel pram. We check this at the gate. Top tip – you can stuff a few extra items in the pram back or tucked into the folded pram if you’re short on space!
- Hideaway Carry on Duffel – We actually usually use this as checked luggage. This neatly fits all my toddler and baby’s clothes and other bits, including the Dopp kit which we use as our first aid kit. The see-through windows mean you can find things so quickly in an emergency, and the hanger means you can hang it up somewhere adult-accessible but out of the kids’ way.
- Car seats checked luggage (again, stuff those car seat bags for extra padding!)
Conclusion: So Is The Rollaway The Best Parent Luggage 2026?

Given it’s innovative design made by parents, for parents, I would say yes. It would be a real struggle to fit more unique selling points into one cabin bag. In case, like me, you have a 3 year old who talks at you constantly and makes it impossible to read a whole article, here’s a quick summary of the stand out features of the No Reception Club Rollaway suitcase.
- A sideways suitcase designed to make stacking easier and safer as it’s much less likely to tip.
- Extended handle, meaning you can stack more bulky baby items.
- Innovative NRC SeatLatch™ car seat attachments.
- Hinomoto silent run 360 degree wheels
- Cabin-friendly (though obviously not the extremely daft matchbox size some of the budget airlines have now resorted to, so do check with your airline first!)
- A durable hardshell/soft shell hybrid with added external pockets for quick access.
- Exterior laptop sleeve.
- Cubby organiser that can be removed and hung up to second as a mini travel wardrobe.
- Water bottle holder add on ($20) to keep them handy while on the go.
If that list hasn’t sold this bag to you, then you’ve probably never travelled with kids. And if you haven’t got this bag, then I suggest you never try to travel with kids!
Obviously I’m joking. You can travel with your kids’ luggage in a plastic carrier bag. But this bag is going to make your life a whole lot easier. And since I became a parent, I will always look for the easiest option.
Off on an exciting family trip soon? Let us know where you’re going and share your packing setup. We always love to hear from you.
