Flights

  • FareDrop – We save so much money on flights because we only pay for the very cheapest.

    Sign up to FareDrop and they send the BEST flight deals to your inbox every day. No searching involved! Just choose your preferred departure city and see what’s available for cheap every single day (Just be warned, it will tempt you to go on far more holidays – not that that’s a bad thing right!?)
  • Skyscanner – One of the best flight search engines out there. Choose their whole month and everywhere options to get the best deals on flights.

Accommodation

  • Booking.com – It’s honestly hard to recommend any other accommodation site as Booking.com has repeatedly proven to be the best and cheapest. After much trial and error, it’s now the only site we’ll use.

    We’ve given AirBnB a really good go, but it’s let us down on price and quality over and over again. We also really wanted to love Sykes Cottages in the UK but again, the customer service is absolutely appalling. And we’ve used several other accommodation sites over the years that just can’t compete with Booking.com.

    So although I’m sure we’d earn great commission from promoting another accommodation site, it wouldn’t be honest of us to recommend anything else.

Tours

  • Viator – We find Viator has the best range of excellent tours and trips out there, for excellent prices.

    They’re a super reliable tour company so you don’t have to worry about booking onto anything dodgy, and we’ve always found the trips we’ve booked with them to be the highlights of our holidays. Look for tours that are highly rated (most of them) and you can’t go wrong.
  • Get Your Guide – If we can’t find what we’re looking for on Viator then Get Your Guide is our second go-to. Their tours are excellent and again, they’re a really reputable company so you know you’ll get your money’s worth.

Travel Insurance

  • SafetyWing – In our opinion, they’re the best travel insurance for digital nomads or frequent travellers. They provide emergency medical travel insurance at an excellent price (from $40 a month) and are one of the biggest names in the travel insurance industry.

Car Hire

  • Discover Cars – We use Discover Cars when searching for the best deals on car rentals. They cover loads of countries and search through tonnes of car hire companies, local and global, to find the very best deals.

Travel Gear

  • Helly Hansen Dry Bag – DO NOT waste your money on a cheap dry bag. It will leak, and all your gear will get ruined (I wish we weren’t speaking from experience).

    If you travel frequently then you’ll know how valuable a decent dry bag is, and our Helly Hansen dry bag is still going strong after several years of continual use on board. We rave about it to everyone who will listen.
  • Black Diamond Head Torch – Our Black Diamond head torches are an absolute ESSENTIAL for travel.

Baby Must-Haves

  • Diaper Bag – A well-thought-out diaper bag that’s designed for travel is a lifesaver for flights especially. We found this diaper bag by No Reception Club and it has everything you could possibly need for travel with a little one, in one compact bag.
  • Busy Book – Jack loves his, and I don’t know a toddler who doesn’t. They are PERFECT for entertaining little ones on flights, car journeys or at restaurants. There are loads of different activities for them and they fit so neatly in a bag.
